My afternoon walk had left me with a chill. While sunny, a winter wind blasted off the river and up the back of my coat. My shoulders hunched up in defense, leaving everything sore. No amount of warm tea, blankets, or space heaters could shake the feeling. Through the rest of the afternoon, across dinner, and into the evening, I was miserable with the chill.
